THIS IS MY INTERVIEW WITH AUTHOR MANDY KIM. THANK YOU FOR TAKING THE TIME TO INTERVIEW WITH ME!!!
What’s your name and what genre would you consider your books to be?
My name is Amanda Kimble but for my books I’ll be going under as Mandy Kim. I would consider my books to be contemporary and young adult romance.
Tell me about your book. How did you come up with that (story, angle, idea)?
My book is about an Undercover Agent who falls in love with the targets son and they have a kid. Then she meets a businessman that she falls for. I came up with the story out of the blue honestly. I read a couple of books that involved people going undercover and watched tons of crime TV shows.
How did you get interested in writing this particular genre (historical novels, mysteries, sci-fi, children’s books, etc.)?
I have always wanted to try my hand at romance. Since all my fan fictions were supernatural related I wanted to try something different for my actual book.
What kind of research did you do for this book?
I didn’t really do any research unless you count watching shows like Criminal Minds, Numbers, Suits, and Ncsi.
Can you tell me about your Series?
My series isn’t complete yet but the overall hope for the series is to follow my main character through her hard times with the ex, her going on cases, and most of all her life with her husband and kids.
Do you have a favorite book out of this series?
Not yet I dont.
Was it always meant to become a series?
Yes it was. I wanted it to be at least.
What’s a typical working day like for you? When and where do you write? Do you set a daily writing goal?
I’m a stay at home mom with a two year old. I write mainly in the family room either when my daughter is sleeping or playing. No I dont set a writing goal daily I do weekly.
Do you have a new book in the making and if so, what’s the name of your upcoming book?
Yes I do have a book in making. It will be book 2 in the series. Its going to be called Undercover Life
How important are character names to you in your books? Is there a special meaning to any of the names?
They are very important to me. Yes there are 3 names in my book that have special meaning because they are based on actual people in my life.
Where do your ideas come from?
My ideas just show up. Along with my characters. Some of my characters names were chosen by some of my readers.
What is the hardest part of writing for you?
Writers block is the hardest part of writing for me.

Probably would be a waitress.
Do you read reviews of your book(s)? Do you respond to them, good or bad? How do you deal with the bad?
Yes I read them I don’t respond though. I just let it slide off my back because I love what I do and if one reader doesn’t like it doesn’t mean everyone is like them.
What is your least favourite part of the writing / publishing process?
Nothing I can complain about.
What are you working on now?
