MY INTERVIEW WITH YOLANDA OLSON

How and when did you get started as a writer?
Um, probably when I was a kid. I liked to write short horror stories and scare the kids in my neighborhood.
What are your goals as an author?
Just to keep writing what I like and not what’s cool to do.

When did you first consider yourself an author?
I guess when I held my first paperback.
Did you have a hard time sharing your work with the public?
Nope. People should know at this point what they’re getting when they see my name on something.

What inspires you to write?
It’s easier to get the words down on paper than to keep them in. It’s a way to keep from festering.
If you could be one of your characters for a day, who would it be and why?
Probably Aiden from Death Blooms. I can’t think of cooler friend to hang out with (fictionally speaking) than Gray.

What are you working on at the moment?
A lot lol
Can you give a little morsel of what you are working on?
I would love to, but I’m pretty sure it’s all a secret lol
What can we expect in the near future?
Mayhem.
If you could choose an author to be your mentor, who would it be?
Kim Harrison. I love the way she world builds and has such kick ass characters. I never get bored reading her.
These questions are just for fun. If you’d like to do them it would be great. But these are up to you. I am just very appreciative for you doing this interview. Thank you️
Something personal about you people may be surprised to know?
I’m Puerto Rican and for some reason that’s usually a shock.

What is your greatest weakness?
If I told you, people would know. :p
What is your greatest strength? I’m nice?
As a child, what did you want to do when you grew up? I don’t remember. Honestly I have a hard time remembering what I did three hours ago.
