What’s your name and what genre would you consider your books to be?

Alora Kate. I’m a multi-genre author.

Tell me about your book. How did you come up with that (story, angle, idea)?

I just release my 11th book that that’s part a Trilogy. I had a dream about Ki, the first character in the book, and it just snowballed from there. It wasn’t supposed to be a Trilogy, but ended up that way with different characters in the books.

How did you get interested in writing this particular genre (historical novels, mysteries, sci-fi, children’s books, etc.)?

I started writing, New Adult Romance, about siblings in college. I like to challenge myself and I get most of my ideas from my dreams, and I just go with what I dream about usually.

What kind of research did you do for this book?

I do research on most of my books, especially if there are health conditions, or accidents, as I want to have it as real as possible.

Can you tell me about your Series?

The NYC series focuses on 3 different set of characters; however they are in all of the books. You have to read them in order and once you get started, you’ll want to know them all. They all continue on with the next book, and I’ve put the first chapter of the next book in the back of the prior one, so people get a sneak peek at what’s to come.
Here’s the one liner for each book.
Book 1: A Beautiful Heartbreak: a plain jane and a complicated lawyer
Book 2: A Beautiful Acceptance: a notorious flirt and a broody ex-fighter
Book 3: A Beautiful Forgiveness: a broken beauty and a fierce protector

Do you have a favorite book out of this series?

I love them all, but since you asked, I think book 3 is my favorite, even though I really love Tapper in book 2.

Where did you get the inspiration/idea for your series?

My dreams are where they start.

What kind of research did you do for this book?

I had to research gunshot wounds, and accidents and health conditions.

Was it always meant to become a series?

No, it started off as a standalone but Alexa and Lucas wanted their own book.

What’s a typical working day like for you? When and where do you write? Do you set a daily writing goal?

I work several jobs, so I write more at night after my son is sleeping.

Do you have a new book in the making and if so, what’s the name of your upcoming book?

I don’t have a name for it yet, but I do have a plan and idea of what I’m writing.

How important are character names to you in your books? Is there a special meaning to any of the names?

Very. Usually yes, there is always some reason behind it. I love unique names, so I try to pick some common ones, and some unique ones.

What do you think of book trailers? Do you have a trailer or do you intend to create one for your own book?

I like some of them, I’ve not done one for any of my books.
