She remembered something Ian said. ‘ye bear my mark, will ye bear my name?’ She tugged at her blouse and ran her fingertips over a ridge of marks on her skin. Her brain tingled anew with the realization she was actually bonded to this immortal highlander.
She focused on the tingle and her body lifted from her seat. She grew feathery light wings and could float on the air. Ian entered the room, she lost concentration and fell onto the floor.
Ian grinned and collected her from the floor. “Y’er magic is fierce, Tricia my love. Learn to walk a bit before ye try to fly.”
